    I have been trying to contact Dr. Michelli. My husband, Ken Butler spoke briefly with him, Saturday in Orlando, and reminded him of our connection…

    I was seated in the front row, with my husband, at the 2012 New Orleans CMAA Conference. Dr. Michelli caught my eye, and we held onto that connection during his presentation. Later we all spoke and had a wonderful conversation. He invited me to email him.

    We emailed back and forth for quite a while, during his wife’s battle with cancer. Nora died 4 years ago. Our daughter died less than a month afterward. I am so sorry for your loss, Joe.

    When Dr. Michelli, spoke with my husband, over the weekend, he requested to have me email him, once again. I shared a quote with Dr. Michelli, in 2013: “Friendship isn’t about whom you have known the longest, it’s about who came and never left your side.”
